Join the Caretakers of God's Creation Conference

United Methodist Women invites its members and friends to take part in the National United Methodist Caretakers of God's Creation Conference. The conference, co-organized by United Methodist Women, takes place on Friday, April 28, 2017 in Arlington, Virginia. The conference is held on the eve of the national People's Climate March on the U.S. Capitol Mall on April 29, which will bring thousands to the capitol. Many United Methodists are planning to attend both the conference and the march. The event is part of United Methodist Women's focus on climate justice, which is one of its four current issue priorities.

The Caretakers Conference runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and includes inspiring worship, exciting keynote speakers and workshops to help you in your work on climate justice and developing greener churches and communities. United Methodist Women is leading workshops on "Climate Justice Simulation Training" and "Shareholder Advocacy and Other Strategies for Engaging Companies" and co-leading a denominational conversation on climate justice. United Methodist Women "Be Just. Be Green" jurisdictional guides, New Generations Climate Justice leaders and national staff will be available at the conference to share resources with United Methodist Members and all participants.
