Church Ratifies Women's Equality Amendment

United Methodist Women celebrates The United Methodist Church's ratification of the women's equality amendment. After a revote, United Methodists around the globe amended the Church's constitution to state “men and women are of equal value in the eyes of God.” A revote was taken after it was determined that the initial amendment that was voted on included a sentence that had been stricken from the amendment.
