United Methodist Women Faith Talks, Oct. 24, 6 pm: #SayHerName

The nation was stunned to learn Atatiana Jefferson, 28, had been killed in her home while playing a video game with her 8-year-old nephew by Fort Worth police making a wellness check on her.

Tragically, Ms. Jefferson is not the first such victim.

Join United Methodist Women’s Faith Talks, October 24, at 6 p.m. (EDT) for a panel discussion about #SayHerName, a campaign to name and recognize black women who have been killed by police, and what Christian women can do in the pursuit of justice.

Jennifer R. Farmer, of Spotlight PR, will moderate the panel discussion with United Methodist Women leaders, including:

  • Emily Jones, Executive for Racial Justice
  • Kenya Cummings, Holy Disruption/School-to-Prison Pipeline consultant
  • Sally Vonner, Transformation Officer and Texas native
  • Alana Walls, Distance Learning Coordinator
