In this season of Thanksgiving
we give thanks for United Methodist Women members whose gifts, big and small, help make mission possible in local communities and around the world, and for mission partners whose tireless efforts improve the lives of the most vulnerable.
Member Cynthia Rives is grateful for United Methodist Women, because through this community she is connected with women from many racial and ethnic backgrounds, including Native American women. Being a part of this sisterhood helps her on the journey to reconcile with Native American peoples.
We are thankful for our members, who continue to put faith, hope and love into action. In North Carolina, their work with the Bethlehem Center helps low income children get the education needed to improve the quality of their lives.
Christian Library International thanked us for the books we sent to be distributed to prisons all over the country. This gift from the members of United Methodist Women serves as a direct way to reach the imprisoned to glorify God.
We are grateful to all who have donated to the Hurricane Relief fund, so that United Methodist Women can continue to give Emergency grants to communities who were hit by the late summer hurricanes.
Cynthia Rives, who serves on United Methodist Women's board of directors, shares how the World Thank Offering is not only an opportunity to express gratitude, but can inspire it as well.
Our members impact lives everywhere and in multiple ways. The World Thank Offering helps fund international ministries such as Operation Hope in Nairobi, Kenya
As we count our blessings this holiday season, we are reminded to also
be blessings to others in our communities and around the world.

"I thank my God every time I remember you, constantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ."
—Philippians 1:3-6
